Scribelo ("we," "our," or "us") is a mobile and web application built for the construction industry. Our app is available at app.scribeloapp.com and on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Name and email address — provided when you create an account.
  • Profile photo — optional; uploaded by you and stored securely.
  • Role — whether you identify as a contractor/subcontractor, worker, or other. You select this during onboarding.
  • Authentication provider — the sign-in method you used (email/password, Google, Apple, or Facebook).
  • Language preference — English or Spanish, saved to personalize your experience.

We do not collect location data, device identifiers, or behavioral tracking data.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To personalize the app based on your role and language preference.
  • To display your profile photo and display name within the app.
  • To respond to support requests if you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Scribelo uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

5. Cookies and Analytics

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track individual users or use any persistent identifiers. No cookie consent banner is required for this analytics service.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any other tracking technologies that would require user consent under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data (including your profile photo) is permanently removed from our systems. Deletion typically takes effect within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data — you can update your name and photo directly in the app.
  • Delete your account and all associated data — available in the app under User → Delete Account.
  • Request a copy of your data by contacting us.

8. Children

Scribelo is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Scribelo after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
